House Group, a fast-growing self-employed estate agency network, has marked its second anniversary with the opening of a new collaborative hub in the heart of Old Town, Swindon.
The company, launched in May 2023 to give independent agents the freedom to operate under a supportive, self-employed model, has now taken on its first premises: a stylish new space in Market House designed to foster connection, creativity, and community among its members.
Founder and Director Ross Sutton said the space was more than just an office. He said: “It’s a home for House. A place to collaborate, share ideas, best practice – and coffee.”
Unlike traditional agency setups, House Members run their own businesses under the House banner, with complete autonomy over their day-to-day work. Until now, that’s meant working remotely, but as Sutton explains, the need for a shared base grew naturally over time.
“We realised our people wanted a space to dip in and out of – to meet, talk, think and recharge. Market House gives us exactly that.”
The new hub includes:
· A professional boardroom meeting space
· A co-working area with hotdesking for up to five agents
· A barista-style coffee machine (“essential,” says Sutton)
· Excellent parking and public transport access
One of House’s Members, Fredy Saju, said: “What I really appreciate is that I can almost go in there at any given time and there’ll be someone in. Because we’re dotted around running individual businesses under the House Group banner, having somewhere common to share is good for all of us.”
Though the space is already in use, a formal launch event is planned once final touches are complete.
House Group has grown steadily across Wiltshire since its launch, championing a “people-first” ethos within the property world. Its new Swindon base reflects that vision in bricks and mortar.
Sutton said: “We’ve always said the best agents are those given the space to work in a way that suits them. Now, we’ve created that space – right here in Old Town.”
