Dairy customers are helping to ensure Prospect Hospice patients can still enjoy the simple pleasures of a cup of tea.

Customers who have their milk delivered via 10 Green Bottles, based in Wroughton, have opted in to pay for a pint that is then donated to a local good cause in its Donate a Pint scheme.

One of those causes is the hospice, which is not far fron the depot.

Carl Golding, catering manager at Prospect Hospice said: “We were delighted when Chris from 10 Green Bottles got in touch with us to offer us a regular donation of milk to help our patients start the day with a cuppa.

"At the end of your life, it’s the simple pleasures you treasure and to be able to enjoy a cup of tea with your friends and family is priceless.

"On behalf of them, I want to thank the team at the dairy, and the customers that donate, for this gift. It will certainly be enjoyed by many.”

The dairy is also donating butter to be used in the home-made meals and treats the hospice prepares for patients and paying customers each day, and the occasional treat of some double cream.

Chris Moore from 10 Green Bottles said: “I truly believe that no one should start the day without a cup of tea or a bowl of cereal.

"When we launched the Donate a Pint scheme in May 2023, we underestimated how popular it would be, but our customers have been incredibly supportive.

"Since then, we have had over 5,000 pints donated. And, as a local company, who better to support than the hospice that does so much to support local people at such an important time.”
