Charity golf day planned to help support the hospitality industry

Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort is hosting its third charity golf day in association with the AA.

The event on 3 June will help support those who work or have worked in the UK hospitality industry. 

Building on the success of the last two years, the Bowood Estate is proud to continue its support of Hospitality Action, a charity that supports workers in all areas of hospitality to overcome any challenges they may face, from physical to financial, mental or personal.

Jeff Condliffe, General Manager at Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, said: “It’s an honour to be hosting this event for the third year running.

The event takes place at Bowood's PGA Golf Course on Monday 3rd June, promising a day filled with competitions and team prizes. Individual champions will also be crowned in various contests such as nearest the pin and longest drive competitions.

The day will conclude with a charity auction, prize giving ceremony, and a tasty 3-course dinner, complete with an arrival drink and wine.

Participants will have access to all of Bowood’s practice facilities, including the PGA Academy Course and Driving Range, supervised by Bowood’s PGA team.

The Hospitality Action Charity Golf Day starts at 8.30am with morning registration and refreshments before a busy schedule of golfing events rounds off with dinner at 5.30pm.

The official PGA Golf Course for the South West is part of the luxury Bowood Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort. Alongside its golf offering, Bowood’s amenities include its two AA Rosette Shelburne Restaurant, the luxurious The Spa at Bowood, and its principal hotel accommodation.
