A grand Tiaras and Bow Ties Ball in aid of The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust is to be held at Blunsdon House Hotel.
It is scheduled for Saturday 23 March from 7pm until late, and tickets have gone on sale in time for Christmas.
This gala event follows on from last year’s hugely successful staging of a masquerade-themed ball and organiser Georgina Gee hopes the March extravaganza will prove even more popular and enjoyable.
The idea came about through the support given by the trust to her mother, Tina, who was diagnosed with a very rare form of the condition in 2016.
After years of constant battling with her health, Tina Gee was prescribed constant oxygen in 2021 and told later that year by her consultant that she would be unlikely to see out the next 12 months.
Georgina said: "My mum is determined to enjoy what time she has left by holidaying by the sea as much as she can. The Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust has wonderfully supported her in this with access to their caravan in Great Yarmouth.
"They’ve also provided her with a brand-new electric scooter to enable her enjoy everyday things such as shopping, days out and walking the dog."
Tickets for the ball are available from Georgina on 07990 075144, by email at [email protected] or via Facebook and WhatsApp, priced £55 per person or £500 for a table of 10.
The fee includes a three-course meal and a disco until late. Dress code is tuxedos and elegant ladies’ wear - including tiaras of course! - and photographer Adrian Roberts will be there to record people in your finery!
The whole event is being sponsored by Pulmonary Fibrosis Trust, A & G Escrow Tapes and Crombey Street Motors, although though more sponsors would be welcome, as would be donations of prizes for the evening’s fundraising raffle.
