Bus drivers in and around Swindon are getting into the festive spirit by sporting Christmas jumpers this December in aid of charity.
Swindon’s Bus Company workers are raising money for Wiltshire Air Ambulance and Prospect Hospice, and putting on the seasonal sweaters is their latest fundraising initiative.
Swindon’s Bus Company general manager Alex Chutter said: “Our drivers are a festive bunch - and every Friday and Saturday during December they’ll be donning colourful Christmas jumpers in aid of these very worthy causes.
“Wiltshire Air Ambulance is a critical resource, with a simple but vital mission - to save lives.
"I have no doubt members of our own team have been or will be helped in some way by the invaluable services this charity provides.
“Prospect Hospice has provided the only dedicated end-of-life care service for people living in Swindon, Marlborough and north east Wiltshire - bringing care, comfort and confidence, around the clock, every day of the year.
“We thought this would be the perfect time to help both charities. We’d like to raise as much money as possible - and we’re inviting customers to get into the Christmas spirit too."
