Goddard Avenue is definitely going to be spooky this Halloween especially because one of the houses is pulling out all the stops to raise money for Prospect Hospice.
Every year on Halloween, 31 October, hordes of people show up in Goddard Avenue to see one particular house that goes all out to be as scary as possible all in aid of charity.
The Martins, whose house is opposite Suain Stores, have been doing these Halloween displays since their kids were little.
Each year they have a different theme which is revealed on the night itself with visitors able to interact with the characters and the set.
Since their son Harry's passing in 2021, the family have collected donations for Prospect Hospice in his memory.
This year they are collecting for our Team Harry Iceland Trek in aid of Prospect Hospice. The team is made up of his wife Sinead, Harry's Dad Tony and Sinead's Mum Frances and they will be raising money by trekking across Iceland next year. Every member of the team will be in costume this Halloween evening.
Sinead said: "This will be our third year collecting vital funds in memory of our dear Harry Martin for Prospect Hospice, who have and continue to support us and so many other families like ours across Swindon, Marlborough and North Wilts.
