The Prince of Wales was in Swindon today to pay a call at local charity BEST - Be a Better You.

His Royal Highness was welcomed at the organisation's Athena Avenue headquarters by VIPs including Mayor of Swindon Cllr Barbara Parry.
The mission of the charity - offering bespoke one-to-one mentoring programmes for people aged 11-25 who are at risk of falling into damaging circumstances - was explained by its founder, businessman Don Bryden.
BEST - Be a Better You also has enrichment programs for schools and holiday activities for people aged 5-16.
His Royal Highness toured the headquarters and met some of the many young people helped by the organisation.
The charity was founded in 2020 by Mr Bryden following his own experiences in trying to secure help for daughter Jess, who fell in with the wrong people after being bullied at school. Jess subsequently took up boxing, turned her life completely around and is now a successful instructor.
The family's experiences in trying to get help led to the founding of BEST, whose tailored intensive mentoring has an emphasis on sport and fitness.
Earlier this year, BEST - Be a Better You was visited by Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper, who praised its work.
