The 2024 Volunteer Recognition Awards, run by Neighbourhood Watch, are currently open for nominations across five categories until Sunday 30 June.
The Volunteer Recognition Awards celebrate volunteers and groups who go above and beyond for their communities.
This year, there will be two additional award categories joining the existing three - the full list of award categories are as follows:
- Innovation and Reach
- Crime Prevention
- Community Health and Wellbeing
- Young Volunteer of the Year
- Special Recognition Award
Innovation and Reach celebrates the diversity of ways we work within communities and increase our reach.
Crime Prevention celebrates volunteers who support their neighbours to be stronger, more resilient and safer by raising awareness of crime prevention.
Community Health and Wellbeing celebrates Neighbourhood Watch groups and Coordinators who have gone the extra mile to look out for the needs of their neighbours and neighbourhood.
Young Volunteer of the Year celebrates young volunteers aged 16 - 24 years old, who have been making a difference in their neighbourhood and community.
Special Recognition Award celebrates a Neighbourhood Watch volunteer who has gone above and beyond to make a difference in their neighbourhood or area.
