Swindon bikers raise more than £7500 for GWH Children's Ward

Pinkertons Club held a motorcycle convoy through Swindon after raising over seven and a half thousand pounds with their annual toy run.

The charity group, who were supported by Wiltshire police, travelled as one to deliver presents to patients at Great Western Hospital's Children's Ward. 

Catherine Weaver, the Trust's Associate Director of Charitable Funds and Voluntary Services said: "Thank you to the Pinkerton Motorcycle Club for once again delivering toys to patients on our Children's ward this Christmas.

"We have a range of appeals this Christmas, including our festive auction, that local people can support by visiting our website, www.brighterfuturesgwh.nhs.uk."

A spokesperson for the Pinkerton Club said: "A big thank you to all the kind people of Swindon. 

"Any cash and card donations during the toy run and any profit form the Christmas party will roll-over into the 2024 fund."
