Prospect Hospice café to host Mother's Day lunch

A special Mother's Day lunch has been announced by Prospect Hospice.

Intended to honour the mothers in people's lives, will take place on Sunday, 19 March in the Heart of the Hospice Café at the Wroughton hospice.

The lunch will be an opportunity for local families to come together and celebrate the important role mothers play, and the hospice team aim to make the day as special as possible for those who may be dealing with difficult circumstances.

Catering Manager Carl Goulding said: "We recognise the challenges that our community faces, particularly on special occasions like Mother's Day.

"Our team is committed to providing compassionate care and support, and we hope that this lunch will bring a little bit of joy and comfort."

The lunch costs £19 per person and will feature a two-course menu prepared by the hospice’s catering team, including a variety of main dishes and desserts. 

All profits from the sale of food will go directly back to the hospice to help fund care for those living with a life-limiting illness in Swindon and north east Wiltshire.

Mr Goulding added: "We know that many people within our community have a special connection to the hospice, and we thought that this is a wonderful way you can celebrate with your mum or celebrate her life even though she may not be with you on this day."

Reservation is preferred and free parking is available on site.
