The South Swindon MP Sir Robert Buckland, has chosen to spotlight the Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service charity this week.

The Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service team use their knowledge and expertise to inform policy and raise awareness to help protect and keep victims and survivors safe.

Mr Buckland explained: "My local charity of the week is Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service. This excellent local charity is committed to empowering and supporting all victims and survivors of domestic abuse; by providing a range of flexible and accessible services that promote positive change."

The public can get involved and support the service by donating goods and shopping at the Survivor@SWA charity shop. The shop can be found in the Parade in Swindon's town centre. It sells a wide range of second-hand items including clothes, shoes, jewellery and accessories, books, DVDs, china and glass, soft furnishings, and household items.

There are also various volunteer positions currently available with the Swindon Domestic Abuse Partnership - including helping with general form filling and applications for benefits, as well as volunteer roles at the Survivor@SWA charity shop.
