Members of the Royal Wootton Bassett Rotary Club have donated funds from a pig roast event to local charity Prospect Hospice.
John and Valerie Hicks held a charity pig roast event on the 14 August at their farm on behalf of Royal Wootton Bassett & District Rotary club.
The aim of the event was to raise much-needed funds to gift to The Prospect Hospice. This particular date in August was likely held on the hottest day of the year, but the Rotary Club members braved the heat to fundraise.
Elaine Pickford from the Prospect Hospice was also invited to the Rotary Club's lunch meeting on 28 September at Basset Down Golf Club, where a cheque for the sum of £1400 was presented to her.
This was the total sum raised by the event, and includes gift aid.
