The rotary clubs of Royal Wootton Bassett & District and Royal Wootton Bassett Town have raised almost £8,000 with the Santa sleigh visits they held in December.
The combined efforts of the rotary clubs of Royal Wootton Bassett & District and Royal Wootton Bassett Town lead to a grand sum of £7912 which includes Government gift aid.
The donations were collected back in December from the residents of Royal Wootton Bassett, Lyneham and Lydiard Millicent as the Santa sleigh made its rounds.
President Elect & Public Relations Officer of the Rotary Club of Royal Wootton Bassett & District, Linda Locke said: "We are so pleased with the magnificent sum raised and our sincere thanks is offered from both Rotary Clubs for the generosity of all who so kindly gave a donation.
"The funds raised will all be given to local charities. We hope that Santa’s visits managed to bring some cheer and excitement to the children. A happy and healthy New Year to you all with our very best wishes from Rotary."
