GWH charity Brighter Futures and The Rotary Club of Swindon Phoenix are coming together again to bring the 2026 edition of the Santa Vs Rudolph Run.
Taking place on Sunday 6 December at Lydiard Park, this year’s festive fun run will raise vital funds for the Meadows Cancer Appeal at Great Western Hospital, helping to create a dedicated wellbeing space within the Meadows Unit.
The new space will provide a calm, welcoming and non-clinical environment where patients and their families can access support, information and companionship during their cancer journey.
Participants can choose whether they are Team Santa or Team Rudolph and take part in either a 5km or 3km route, making the event accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
Whether walking, jogging or running, participants will enjoy a festive morning of fun while supporting a life-changing cause.
Entry costs £15 for adults, £5 for children, and under-5s go free. Participants are encouraged to raise £50 through sponsorship, with a dedicated fundraising page automatically created upon registration to make sharing with family, friends and colleagues easy.
The event is designed to be inclusive, with an accessible route suitable for wheelchair users, families with buggies and very young children. Well-behaved dogs on leads are also welcome to join the festivities.
Every participant will receive a free Santa hat or set of reindeer antlers when they sign up, helping them proudly represent their chosen team on the day. Fancy dress and festive outfits are strongly encouraged.
Participants are asked to arrive by 9.30am, with the run set to start at 11am.
