South Swindon MP spotlights local charity supporting people with Autism

Sir Robert Buckland has selected the local charity DASH (Discovering Autistic Spectrum Happiness) for his chosen charity of the week.

Mr Buckland said: "This brilliant local charity aims to help autistic people in Swindon to live happier and more fulfilled lives."

DASH’s primary aims are to:

  • Raise awareness of Autism
  • Promote and enhance access to assessment and diagnosis, post diagnosis support, welfare and care, housing, education and employment;
  • Research, promote and help to deliver a local model of support and services.

In this way the charity says it aims to help people with Autistic Spectrum Conditions to enjoy safer, healthier, more sociable, more productive and happier lives.

DASH prides itself upon provides a range of services and support to help autistic adults navigate the challenges of life.

The charity also provides information and support to help autistic people to socialise, as well as access to other local agencies. This includes information about housing, welfare rights, employment, health, and debt.
