Prospect Hospice's Spring Run, held on Sunday 3 March, was a resounding success.

Against the backdrop of Coate Water Country Park, around 200 enthusiastic participants laced up their running shoes to take on either a 5km or 10km challenge.

As the sun broke through the clouds, casting a warm glow over the event, the atmosphere crackled with excitement and anticipation. Participants arrived with beaming smiles, ready to conquer the course and make a difference in the lives of those cared for and supported by Prospect Hospice.

Among the runners was Sharon Greasley, who shared her enthusiasm for the event, said: "Participating in Prospect Hospice's Spring Run was an incredible experience.

"The atmosphere was electric, and the beautiful weather made every step enjoyable. Knowing that our efforts were contributing to such an important charity made crossing the finish line even more meaningful."

Through the generous support of participants and their sponsors, Prospect Hospice is thrilled to announce that a grand total of over £18,000 has been raised so far.

This sum will go directly towards supporting the charity’s essential services, providing comfort, care, and compassion to people facing life limiting illnesses in our community.

Jeremy Lune, CEO at Prospect Hospice said: "We are overwhelmed by the incredible turnout and unwavering support we received for this year's Spring Run. It was wonderful to see so many of our local community supporting this event, especially as the sun made an appearance.

"The funds our supporters have already raised, with more sponsorship coming in, will enable us to continue delivering vital care and support to local people and their families when they need it most."

Prospect Hospice would like to thank everyone who participated, volunteered, sponsored, or supported the event.
