A manager of a Tesco store in Swindon has taken on a marathon run around Milton Keynes in aid of Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Service.
Adrian Birch, the Store Manager of Tesco Swindon Express pounded the streets of Milton Keynes for a Marathon run earlier this month.
Adrian was running on behalf of SDASS, Swindon’s local Domestic Abuse support charity which incorporates Swindon Women’s Aid. The SDASS charity shop, Survivor, is a near neighbour of the Tesco store in the Parade.
Adrian said: “As part of my role in the community as a Store Manager for Tesco, it is great to support others that really make a difference in our local community. The bank holiday Monday was a tough day but I was determined to finish.”
Chair of SDASS, Nicky Alberry DL said: “We are so grateful to Adrian for offering to run to raise funds for us. Sadly, demand for our services has never been greater and without people like Adrian, we would not be able to help as many people as we do. There is always more to be done.”

The store manager presented staff at the Survivor charity shop with a cheque for £152.00.
