The latest Swindon Christmas Toy Appeal marks the 10th year of its support for local families.
The many ways in which people can help range from donating much-needed toys and funds to volunteering to host a collection point.
A spokesperson said: "As Christmas approaches, the Swindon Christmas Toy Appeal is calling on businesses, community groups and individuals across the town to help ensure local children experience the excitement of Christmas, regardless of their family circumstances.
"Now celebrating its 10th year, the appeal brings together churches, schools, businesses and volunteers from across Swindon.
"Last year, more than 420 families were able to choose three gifts, stocking fillers, a soft toy and a book for over 1,050 children through the scheme.
"This year organisers expect demand to increase further as additional schools and organisations join the referral network."
Brand-new gifts for children and young people aged from birth to 17 can be donated at collection points across Swindon from 2 November until 30 November or delivered directly to the appeal's central hub at Bible Society, Stonehill Green, Westlea, Swindon, SN5 7DG.
Businesses can also support the appeal through financial donations, employee volunteering, workplace collections and by becoming public donation points.
People and organisations can support the appeal by:
- Donating a new gift for a child aged 0-17
- Making a financial donation via https://gatewaychurchswindon.churchsuite.com/donate/fund/amms5bwx
- Volunteering to help sort and distribute gifts
- Offering a public donation point
- Sharing information about the appeal through business communications and social media
