Voluntary Action Swindon has announced a volunteer and trustee recruitment fair on 14 January.
The organisation is the Council for Voluntary Service (CVS) in Swindon. A CVS is a charity which supports other charities and coordinates voluntary activity in the local area.
A spokesperson said: "This event will be a great opportunity for individuals in Swindon to learn about volunteering opportunities.
"The fair will take place at Swindon Hub, located at 36 The Parade, Swindon SN1 1BA, from 10 am to 2 pm. There will be free refreshments for everyone who attends.
"A wide range of organisations will be in attendance at the fair, such as Live Well Swindon and Swindon Borough Council, who will be offering a variety of volunteer roles to suit different interests and skill sets."
The spokesperson added: "Volunteering is not only a great way to give back to the community, but it can also provide you with the opportunity to learn or develop skills, meet new people and learn about what is going on in your area.
