A Community Christmas Market, which aims to raise funds for The Prospect Hospice, will be taking place at Lawn Community Centre on Saturday 30 November between 1pm and 4.30pm.
The market looks set to be lots of festive fun with face painting, crafts, wreaths, cards and gifts available. Refreshments include tea, coffee and cakes. There will also be a raffle.
Friends, Vanessa and Rebecca, are organising the event as part of their fundraising efforts for a Great Wall of China trek next year, in support of Prospect Hospice. The pair will be trekking over 50kms along the wall.
Rebecca said: " All proceeds will go to the Prospect Hospice. Santa said bring cash!"
Wroughton-based Prospect Hospice, which has brought comfort and help to countless patients and their loved ones, both in the hospice itself and in the wider community, receives only a small fraction of its funding from the Government, and must raise the rest itself.
The charity is in the midst of a major fundraising drive after announcing a £1m shortfall.
