Regional construction group Beard, which has offices in Swindon has appointed Darren Miller as commercial director for the £137 million turnover family-owned company.
He will be responsible for managing all commercial activity and central procurement for the business which operates across the South of England.
The appointment is a promotion for Darren who joined Beard in 2006, as commercial manager for the firm’s Swindon operations. Prior to this, he was a managing surveyor for Mansell, now part of Balfour Beatty.
Darren takes up his new role with extensive commercial management experience and knowledge of construction delivery from project procurement, risk and contract management, to managing customer and supply chain relationships and successful project delivery.
