Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after a young teenage boy was assaulted on Cricklade Road, Swindon.

Around 1.20pm on Friday 3 August, the 14-year-old was walking close to a row of shops on Cricklade Road near Avening Street and Edinburgh Street when three youths on bicycles approached him and slapped him on the back of the head causing him to fall to the ground.

The victim was not seriously hurt but was very shaken by the incident.

Unfortunately Wiltshire Police don't have a description of the three males.

PC Rebecca Diamon said:  "We would like to speak to anyone in this part of Cricklade Road at this time who may have heard or seen something suspicious, this assault itself or a group of youths on bikes acting suspiciously."

If you can help with our enquiries please contact PC Rebecca Diamon on 101, quoting crime reference number 54180072650, or anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
