Swindon school awarded Careerpilot super user status

Students and staff at Highworth Warneford school have been celebrating meeting all three criteria to become a Careerpilot super user this academic year.

The school has been awarded a certificate and will now display a logo showing its status. 
 
Careerpilot is a free website that provides impartial career information to students aged 13-19 in the South West region about all the choices available.
The site has:
•     Information on twenty job sectors;
•     Details about the choices at 14, 16 and 18,
•     Career Tools to help students make informed decisions;
•     An Adviser Zone with resources for teachers to use;
•     A Parent Zone.
Careerpilot is co-funded by all 12 universities in the South West region.
Andy Steele, Headteacher, Highworth Warneford school said: “This award is a fantastic recognition of achieving our aim to provide every student with high-quality careers information as well as specifically teaching the skills that employers are seeking.  All students have access to up-to-date careers information to research future pathways. I’m delighted that students are supported at all stages of their time at the school to make good, positive choices.".
