Lainesmead Primary School and Nursery in Swindon's South View Avenue is closed today - Tuesday 25 February.
Parents have been informed that the closure was necessary because the school lacks heating and hot water, and as of yesterday afternoon it was not known when the problem would be solved.
Parents were sent a letter by headteacher Alyssia Mepstead, which the school also put on its social media, saying: "I am writing to inform you that unfortunately, Lainesmead Primary School & Nursery will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday 25th February, due to a lack of heating and hot water. We understand that this may cause inconvenience for families, and we sincerely apologise for the short notice.
"At this time, we do not know when this issue will be resolved, but we are working closely with the relevant authorities to fix the problem as soon as possible. We will provide you with an update tomorrow once we have more information.
"We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. Please keep an eye on your emails and the school's usual communication channels for further updates.
"If you have any urgent questions, please do not hesitate to contact the school office."
