New College will be running a number of employability courses at its Adult Learning Centre, designed to help those that are unemployed and looking to return to work.
The courses will be available to anyone aged 19 years & over, who has been a resident in the UK/ EU for over three years.
These courses are also free to those claiming benefits or who fall into the 'low earner bracket'.
Individuals that are interested in the courses, are asked to see the eligibility criteria on the posters pictured above for further details.
All these courses will run at New College's Adult Learning Centre site in Swindon town centre (Focal Point, 27-35 Fleet Street, Swindon SN1 1RQ). Staff say the centre is easily accessible by both bus and train.

Step Into Employment
Tuesday 7, Wednesday 8, Thursday 9 & Friday 10 February 2023 (9.30am - 4.30pm)
This 4 day course is for anyone who is currently looking for employment or thinking of a career change and covers topics such as CV writing, job searching, completing applications, interviews etc. By the end of the sessions attendees will have a CV & a plan of action & know the next steps they need to take to get back into work.
Interview Skills Clinic
Wednesday 8, Thursday 9 & Friday 10 March 2023 (9.30am – 2.30pm)
This 3 day course will show you how to more authentic, confident and succinct in interviews, putting your best foot forward verbally and non- verbally so that you get the job offers you deserve. Attendees will also have the opportunity to attend a mock interview and receive personalised feedback.
NHS Healthcare Support Roles
Monday 13 to Tuesday 21 March 2023. (9:30am – 4:30pm)
This 7 day course provides you with the knowledge and skills needed to secure work as a healthcare support worker (HCSW) in the NHS which will give you the chance to learn new skills & make a difference to the care patients get. HCSWs work in lots of different NHS services such as mental health, maternity, learning disabilities, & children & young people’s services. You can work in hospitals, GP practices, people’s own homes, and the community.
Confidence & Motivation
Wednesday 25, Thursday 26 & Friday 27 January 2023 (9.30am – 2.30pm)
Want to feel & look confident? Want to think positively & be in control out of your comfort zone? This confidence course will show you how.
