New College Swindon (NCS) is continuing to celebrate another year of what it praises as tremendous learner achievement.
There have been improvements across A Levels, vocational qualifications, T Levels and apprenticeships,
demonstrating the strength of the college's curriculum and its continuing commitment to preparing learners for successful futures.
This year saw an increase in the number of learners achieving the highest grades across A Level and vocational subjects, highlighting how NCS is supporting learners to not just pass, but maximise their potential.
T Levels also saw significant increases in pass rates, with momentum building over the past few years since the launch of the qualification.
The results reflect the growing demand for courses that combine academic knowledge with practical, industry-relevant experience, positioning New College Swindon at the forefront of delivering the government's evolving vision for Further Education.
Nicola Beckley, Chief Strategy Officer, said: “The outstanding progress we're seeing across the board
demonstrates the value of FE colleges in offering learners flexible, high-quality pathways that support different strengths, ambitions and learning styles.
"The Department for Education's vision for V Levels is an exciting proposition, and as our success in delivering T Levels demonstrates, we are well positioned to develop the first tranche of qualifications.
"Young people deserve flexible pathways that allow them to build knowledge, technical expertise and transferable skills while keeping their future options open.
"We remain committed to ensuring every learner leaves not only with excellent qualifications, but with the confidence, experience and skills to succeed in a rapidly changing world.”
The college also celebrated continued success in apprenticeships.
Matt Butcher, Vice Principal Commercial, Skills and Partnerships is delighted with the outcomes.
He said: "Apprenticeships continue to play an increasingly important role in developing the skilled workforce employers need, enabling learners to gain recognised qualifications while earning, building workplace experience and developing the professional behaviours that support long-term career success.”
Principal and CEO Leah Palmer is pleased with how hard all learners have worked but is quick to highlight that success is not measured simply by grades but also the opportunities that they create.
"Today is a celebration of our learners and everything they have achieved, and we are incredibly proud of every single one of them.
"Whether our learners are progressing to university, higher education at the New College Swindon University Centre, into apprenticeships or employment, today's achievements represent the beginning of exciting new journeys.
"These outcomes reflect the dedication of our learners, the expertise and commitment of our extremely dedicated NCS colleagues and the invaluable support of parents and carers.
