Noremarsh Junior School said a special farewell to Michelle Card, Assistant Headteacher, who has been with the school since 1996.
Leading up to Michelle’s last day the students and staff worked hard to make the end of her time at Noremarsh extra special, with a picnic to celebrate the year and the children’s hard work during lessons.
The children, staff and governors all contributed to a celebratory quilt, which included uniform fabrics to mark her time at Noremarsh. The summer term ended with a special leaver’s assembly and a tea party after school with the staff who have worked with Michelle over her time at Noremarsh.
Hilary MacMeekin, Headteacher, said: “Michelle is an excellent teacher and it has been a real privilege to work with her over her time at Noremarsh. She is always generous with her time, skills, knowledge and understanding and makes everyone within our community feel like they belong.
"She is the embodiment of our school values: Ambition, Belonging, Compassion, and she will be hugely missed.”
