Noremarsh Junior School has been working alongside Royal Wootton Bassett Town Council to design a ‘Trim Trail’ play area in Noremarsh Park.
The school was contacted by the team at the town council to ask for the children’s opinions on 3 different designs. The children in the school council discussed the durability and inclusiveness of each design and decided on a third option that would be accessible for children of all ages.
At a lively opening event, the major and design and build team with Noremarsh staff gathered as the school council were excited to first try out the equipment .
“We are incredibly grateful that the children were involved in designing a play area. Our children have worked closely with the town council in previous designs at the park so it is great to be asked again” said Hilary MacMeekin, Headteacher.
The council invite all members of the community to visit Noremarsh park to play on the new equipment.
