Noremarsh Junior School recently welcomed a diverse group of professionals to inspire their children and broaden their understanding of future career paths.
Visitors included a personal trainer from Nuffield Health, author Jo Stacey, a zoological specialist from Sea World, a Neonatologist, a postman, an electrician, a design engineer from ISIS Science and Technology Facilities Council, a midwife, a local business woman, a music therapist, local firefighters, Swindon Dance, and a design & technology teacher from Royal Wootton Bassett Academy.
Each guest shared insights into their roles, offering students a glimpse into the skills and dedication behind a wide range of professions. The event was filled with engaging talks, hands-on activities, and plenty of curiosity from the children.
Headteacher Hilary MacMeekin said: “We are incredibly grateful to all the professionals who gave their time to inspire the children here at Noremarsh.
“Events like this are vital in helping children see the real-world applications of their learning and to dream big about their futures. The week was filled with interactive sessions, hands-on demonstrations, and plenty of questions from curious children eager to learn more about the world beyond the classroom.”
