Swindon school raise over £1,200 with Ukraine fundraising efforts

Swindon's Nova Hreod Academy have been raising funds for the people of Ukraine and have raised over a thousand pounds.

Staff and students at Nova Hreod Academy have been fundraising over the course of this week to show their support for the people of the Ukraine. 

The academy held a non-uniform day on Friday, 11 March which raised over £1,200. 

The funds are going towards the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) Appeal. 

Donations of warm clothing and food have also been organised at the school. 

In addition, staff say during class and through assemblies, students have been learning about the challenges currently being faced by the Ukrainian people.
