Swindon’s shoppers are promised a treat on Saturday - 26 November - at Lawn Manor Academy’s first Preloved Sale.

The Salcombe Grove school will be opening its doors from 10am until 11.30am and offering a range of quality preloved and new clothes, school uniform, home accessories, shoes, toys, bric-a-brac and more to eager buyers.

Impressive prizes will be up for grabs at the school’s raffle, including a Swindon Town Football Club season ticket for one adult and one child donated by the Swindon Town FC Community Foundation, a pair of Dyson Corrale hair straighteners worth £400 donated by the James Dyson Foundation, a voucher for the FreeDog adventure park and a £30 voucher from The Hair Group in Old Town.

Coffee and tasty homemade cake will also be available.  All goods have been donated to the school and money raised will be used to support the school’s families most in need this Christmas.

Marek Koza, Assistant Headteacher at Lawn Manor Academy, said: “The Preloved Sale is looking to be a particularly exciting event, with great buys to be had and the raffle that many people are particularly excited about.

"However, most important of all is that all funds raised at the sale will be used to provide much needed help and support to our most in-need families this Christmas.

“Christmas can be a tough time for some of our families and this year in particular with the cost of living crisis is going to prove more challenging for most of us.  By coming together as a community through the Preloved Sale we hope to be able to relieve a little of the pressure.”

Lawn Manor Academy is part of the Ascend Learning Trust, which is formerly the Royal Wootton Bassett Academy Trust.
