The picnic is a free event and is open to all students and families.
The event will take place on the school grounds and will offer a variety of activities for attendees to take part in.
These activities include:
- Crown-making
- Crown competition
- A special assembly from staff members
- A Coronation cake to enjoy
All children and families are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to the picnic.
In the week running up to the big celebrations, pupils have been learning about Kings, Queens and Coronations. As well as the history of the British monarchy and the life of the new King.
Acting Head Teacher James Lee said: “The Coronation celebrations are a great way to bring everyone together to have fun and enjoy the events but they’re also a perfect opportunity for our pupils to learn so much about the history of our nation and the role of the monarchy.”
