Royal Wootton Bassett Academy are spreading the joy of Christmas donating gifts to those in need. The school held a Harvest Festival, Christmas Jumper day and delivered chocolates to the elder community.

Students and staff came in their best Christmas outfits on 7th December, the school managed to raise an incredible amount of £1000 for Save the Children.

The school were proud to hear that they were the largest single donator for Swindon Food Collective, with all items collected at the school’s Harvest Festival, staff and students brought in food and household items. Every year the school’s Year 11 students deliver chocolates to the elderly within the community. The event has now seen more students than ever having to get involved, with the ever-growing list of elderly residents and would not be possible without the incredible support from Richard Crapper at Crapper and Sons Landfill Ltd.

David Storey, Associate Leadership Team Member at Royal Wootton Bassett Academy commented “I am overjoyed with the generosity and hard work each of our students have put in to make all this possible. Christmas is a time for giving and we hope that our gifts can spread the joy of Christmas to those who need it. With an extra special thank you to Richard from Crapper and Sons Landfill Ltd.”
