The theatre company aims to help parents and children during lockdown with what is promises are boredom-busting online workshops.
Funded by Arts Council England, the sessions are described by Shoebox as a fun, creative way for children to learn, let off steam and meet new friends.
The online programme will initially run for four weeks during lockdown and will be taught by Drama Teacher and Puppeteer Bee Daws, who is a regular at the Shoebox Theatre.
Shoebox Theatre producer Hannah Marquez said: “We are excited to be able to support both parents and children during lockdown and have worked with Bee to adapt our Drama classes to be delivered online.
"We hope that they will provide children with something fun, social and interactive to do during the school day and will give parents a much needed break!
"Sadly, the Shoebox Theatre has had to close its doors since February last year, but with help from Arts Council England we have been able to run online activities for the local community, which has been fantastic!”
The free programme of online classes will start on Wednesday, 20 January, and can be booked at www.shoeboxtheatre.org.uk/whatson
