The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge attended the Royal International Air Tattoo at RAF Fairford on Friday 8 July and brought along Prince George to enjoy the noisy big boys toys.
The Duchess, who is Patron of the Air Cadet Organisation, took the salute as hundreds of cadets marched past to mark the Air Cadets’ 75th anniversary before she and the Duke had the opportunity met some of the Air Cadets from all over the country.
The went on to meet pilots and ground crew from the Red Arrows display team, with the Duke holding Prince George so he could have a close look into the cockpit of one of the team's Hawk aircraft. As a family they sat inside an RAF Squirrel helicopter and later, unexpectedly, went walkabout including meeting the crew of a Royal Australian Air Force airtanker.
The air tattoo continues on Saturday and Sunday at RAF Fairford.
