Julia’s House is holding it's first Carols by Candlelight fundraising event at Christ Church in Swindon’s Old Town.

Taking place on Wednesday 13 December, the event promises to be a magical evening. It will feature traditional carols, readings from local Julia’s House families and staff, uplifting performances from the Swindon Choral Society and Swindon school choirs. Mince pies and mulled wine will also be on offer.

The heart-warming event is being hosted by Wiltshire’s children’s hospice, Julia’s House, to raise vital funds for the charity.

Julia’s House provides a lifeline of care for seriously ill children and their families in Swindon and across Wiltshire. The charity’s specialist nurses and carers provide crucial and compassionate respite, clinical and end of life care – both in families’ homes and at the vibrant Julia’s House hospice building in Devizes.

Julia’s House Fundraiser, Claudia Hickin said “We’re thrilled to be hosting our very first Carols by Candlelight evening in Swindon and Christ Church will be the most magnificent setting for this special event.”

"Following on from our Big Dog Art Trail earlier this year, we’re looking forward to celebrating with the community again this Christmas time and raising essential funds to support our care for local families. We invite everyone to come along and get into the festive spirit by singing their favourite carols and enjoying wonderful performances from local choirs.”

Carols by Candlelight in Swindon is kindly being sponsored by Catalent, a leading global partner to pharmaceutical, biotech, and consumer health companies to optimize product development, manufacturing, and full life-cycle supply for patients around the world.
