Coffin Mew, an award-winning law firm with offices in Swindon and Wantage, has appointed a new Director of Marketing and Business Development to its growing team. Virginia Cook, an experienced professional services marketer, joins Coffin Mew from leading accountancy firm 'Roffe Swayne' where she developed planning and budgeting controls, as well as a customer experience programme to drive operational improvements. Virginia will be held responsible for creating and implementing strategies at Coffin Mew to develop the firm’s brand and support its ambitious growth plans, which include expanding its prestigious client list with a view to increasing turnover to £20million by 2020. “I am delighted to join Coffin Mew at such an exciting time,” says Virginia, who has a background in professional services and experience working for several other sizeable legal partnerships. “We recently announced a 30 per cent growth in turnover and are about to launch a brand refresh to align with our new 2020 strategy and beyond. The refresh, which includes a new corporate logo, will help us differentiate ourselves as an approachable law firm with a truly innovative culture. I have only just arrived at Coffin Mew, but it is clearly a company that is receptive to new ideas, so I’m really looking forward to working with the team." Just a week into her new role, Virginia has looked at structured programmes which will help take Coffin Mew to market and showcase its expertise across the multitude of industry sectors it operates in. Miles Brown, Coffin Mew’s CEO, added: “Virginia is a key strategic hire for our firm and will be instrumental in helping us drive the business forward as we launch our refreshed brand. She has a wide range of experience and expertise that makes her perfectly suited for the role, and I’m sure I speak on behalf of the firm when I wish her the very best of luck in what is undoubtedly going to be an extremely exciting future for Coffin Mew!” For more information on Coffin Mew, please visit www.coffinmew.co.uk.
