Swindon-based organisation, The Actors' Institute, will be offering free taster drama workshops to young people aged between 4 - 14 years of age.

The free sessions will be held on 25 & 27 February, at the Shoebox Theatre on Milton Road in Swindon.

The workshops aim to give students and parents the opportunity to meet the team behind the Actors’ Institute and give students the opportunity to take part in a drama class for their age group.

The Actors’ Institute prides itself upon having an excellent track record for nurturing the careers of young actors and supporting students auditioning for Drama School and University, as well as running courses for professional actors and adults.

Their weekly classes for young actors are be taught by Hannah Marquez - a professional actor and acting coach.

She said: "Our offering for young performers ranges from a gentle introduction to drama for ages 4-6, confidence-building and performance skills workshops for ages 7-10 and acting classes in theatre and screen for ages 11-14.

"These classes give students the opportunity to not only build performance skills, but to also build confidence and communication skills that go hand in hand with drama.”

These free Shoebox Theatre sessions can be booked online via www.actorsinstitute.co.uk
