The Town Gardens Bowl is preparing for a feel-good line-up of events to see out the summer in endorphin-boosting style.
The iconic South Swindon venue will welcome not one, but two energetic nights of entertainment over the long weekend, with live comedy on Saturday 26 and music on Monday 28 August.
The Saturday show is Comedy at the Bowl, which will run from 8-11pm with the doors opening at 6.30pm.
Providing the laughs will be a line-up of ‘as seen on TV’ and award-winning comedians:
- Esther Manito (Live at the Apollo, The Stand Up Sketch Show)
- Matt Richardson (Xtra Factor, Never Mind the Buzzcocks)
- Paul McCaffrey (Live at the Apollo, Russell Howard’s Good News)
- Aurie Styla (Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club, The Stand Up Sketch Show)
South Swindon Parish Council are presenting the show in association with Nodding Dog Comedy and Gag Reflex.
A Parish Council spokesperson said: “We’re thrilled to welcome such a fantastic line-up of talent to The Bowl. It’s been a tough year for so many residents, and this soggy summer we’ve been having hasn’t provided the lift in spirits we all need.
"This fantastic night of laughs will come as a welcome break to so many, and with adult tickets priced at just £17 for four topnotch comedians, it’s going to be a brilliant value night of fun.”

The Monday show is 21st Century ABBA and Elton, running from 7.30-10.30pm.
Concluding the long weekend, and back by popular demand after two sell-out performances, feel-good favourites 21st Century ABBA and Elton will take to the stage to perform an open-air concert to remember.
The Bowl is set to (Crocodile!) rock to some of the pop world’s greatest hits, including Rocket Man, Waterloo, Tiny Dancer, and Dancing Queen.
21st Century ABBA captures the spirit of ABBA’s signature harmonies, while their musicians bring to life the unforgettable drum beats, guitar riffs, and keyboard melodies that made ABBA’s music so iconic.
The night will also feature the fabulous 21st Century Elton, who will dazzle audiences with authentic costumes and pitch perfect piano.
The Tuppenny will again be providing a bar, and tickets are available at https://towngardens-swindon.co.uk/event/21st-century-abba-elton/
