Swindon will celebrate the arrival of spring with a series of events across the town as part of the Swindon Blossom Festival.
The festival, which runs from 5-20 April, will comprise of a series of workshops, activities and events at:-
- GWR Park
- Town Gardens
- Badbury Park
- Shaftesbury Lake
- Buckhurst and East Wichel Tiny Forests
The Blossom Festival takes place at the GWR Park on Saturday 5 April from 11am until 3pm, and will feature live music, arts, crafts, nature tours and much more.
The Badbury Park Spring Festival takes place on Saturday 12 April between 9.30-3pm. The day will be filled with fun activities, crafts, a storytime session in the library, bouncy castles and much more.
Storytime in the library will start at 11am and is free to attend. You can book a young person’s spot for the Youth Club taster session at 1pm HERE. (Ages 10 yrs+).
The Town Gardens will host a huge variety of spring events which includes egg trails, live music and craft events, including:
- 5-18 April – Dinosaur Egg Trail – Run by Wyvern Theatre and Swindon Museum and Art Gallery
- 6 April – Dinosaur Live Drop-In Crafts – Run by Wyvern Theatre and Swindon Museum and Art Gallery
- 6 April – Heritage Tour of Town Gardens – 1pm
- 6 April – JGMusic on the Bandstand -3pm
- 10 April – Ministry of Samba Live Rehearsal – 6:30pm-8pm
- 11 April – Family Friendly Heritage Tour of Town Gardens – 1pm
- 13 April – North Swindon Big Band on the Bandstand – 3pm
- 17April – Storytime under the Blossom with Local Author Kate Claxton – 10:30am
- 17 April – Singing under the Blossom with Local Author Kate Claxton
- 17 April – Ministry of Samba Live Rehearsal – 6:30pm-8pm
- 18 April – Wiltshire Treehouse Easter Egg Trail – Town Gardens
- 19 April – Wiltshire Treehouse Easter Egg Trail – Town Gardens
