Willowbrook View, a new luxury care home based in Wichelstowe in the Connaught Care Collection, officially opened its doors last week.

Over 100 local guests were treated to a special ‘champagne and cocktails’ open evening with complimentary drinks, canapés, and live entertainment including a wonderful performance from local event singer Luke Greenhalgh.

Customer Relations Manager Chris Guest and other members of the teams led guests on guided tours of the home, including its spacious en-suite bedrooms, stylish communal areas, and state-of-the-art facilities including a cinema, fine-dining bistro, and luxury spa and salon.

Guests could also sample the lifestyle at Willowbrook View by taking part in interactive cookery demonstrations with the home’s talented team of chefs; flower arranging in the home’s state-of-the-art Activities room; and fitness sessions with Willowbrook’s dedicated team of on-site Personal Trainers. The feedback from guests and potential residents was overwhelmingly positive.

General Manager, Liv Butler, said: "It was wonderful to share our hard work with the community and show them the exceptional care environment we have created. We look forward to becoming a hub of activity and support for older people in the area."

The event took place at the home’s custom-build premises on Barwell Avenue, right at the heart of Swindon’s new Wichelstowe housing development. Willowbrook View also officially became a CQC-registered home last week and welcomed its first ever residents into the home.

Under the Connaught Care Collection's unique all-inclusive model, Willowbrook View will offer residents a comprehensive service which ensures all their needs are met under one roof. Premium amenities, healthcare services, and tailored events/activities are covered under a single weekly fee; removing the uncertainty of hidden costs or charges.

Chris Guest, Customer Relations Manager, was delighted with the evening’s success. He said: "Our open evening was a fantastic way to introduce Willowbrook View to the community. We were thrilled to see so many people come along to meet the team and explore our beautiful home. It’s clear that there is a real need for high-quality, all-inclusive care in Swindon, and we’re proud to have already welcomed our first residents with hopefully many more to come!”

Deputy Manager, Natasha Stone, said: "What an incredible evening! It was heartwarming to see so many local people visit our stunning home. We’re so excited to become part of this great community."

The home is already hitting the ground running its first week with a ‘Rockin’ Red Nose Day for Comic Relief’ event with all residents invited to take part. Willowbrook View has also already started offering music therapy sessions for residents and is planning a series of fun outings to Swindon – including the local Hall & Woodhouse Wichelstowe for delicious drinks and cakes.

For those who couldn’t attend the open evening, private tours are available with Chris Guest. To arrange a visit or learn more about life at Willowbrook View, please visit www.willowbrookview.co.uk or contact Chris directly at [email protected].
