Swindon Borough Council has announced that it is considering tenders in a bid to get the Coate Water splash park running again.
The original splash park was closed last year after it developed a further fault following routine maintenance.
The council then asked members of the public what they would like to see replace it.
Cllr Chris Watts, the Cabinet Member responsible for country parks, said: “Coate Water is a magnificent park and has so much for the whole family to enjoy.
“We know the original splash park was incredibly fun for children during the hot weather and we want to make sure the replacement provides even more joy.
“It’s really important we deliver a replacement that’ll have a long life-span and entertain families for years to come.”
Updates will be issued by the council on social media and via its ‘Your Swindon’ newsletter at www.swindon.gov.uk/newsletter
