Do Swindon is a new website that’s made by Swindon people for Swindon people, because they believe that what happens here matters.
Do Swindon exists because there’s a lot happening in this town, but too often it can be hard to find.
It doesn’t just cover the big events in the arts and cultural scene, like theatre shows, live music, exhibitions and festivals, it also includes comedy nights, film screenings, workshops, talks, family activities and community celebrations.
Visitors can find things to do all over Swindon, in theatres, libraries and galleries, but also in parks, pubs, town centres and unexpected spaces.
A spokesperson said: "You'll find all sorts of activities that bring people together through shared experience, ideas or creativity, whether it’s planned, spontaneous, big, small, loud or quiet.
"Do Swindon is shaped by people who care about this town and want to make it easier for everyone to find, enjoy and take part in what’s happening here.
"It’s here to help shine a light on the people, ideas and moments that give Swindon its energy, and to make taking part feel open, welcoming and worthwhile."
Do Swindon is supported by the Swindon Culture Collective, a network of local creatives, organisers and organisations who are behind many of the events and activities happening across the town.
By championing what’s already happening in Swindon, the Collective plays a key role in making sure great local ideas have the best chance to succeed, and that people have the best chance to find out what’s going on near them.
