Dobbies Garden Centre has a ‘nice list’ of special Christmas events at its Swindon store for every member of the family to enjoy this year.
The popular Meet Santa experience is back for children to share their Christmas wishes and capture a photo with Santa Claus himself, and there’s a chance for your pup to enjoy the festive fun at Santa Paws, an experience designed especially for dogs.
Taking place in the heart of the store, the Meet Santa experience at the Swindon store will allow families to spend time with Santa, talk about their wishes and even share a favourite Christmas story. Every child will receive a special Christmas gift and have the chance to capture a professional digital photo with Santa Claus. The Meet Santa experience is £11 per child and is running from 23 November to 24 December.
This year every Meet Santa ticket sold will help support The Dumyat Project. Dobbies was founded in Scotland in 1865, and as the 160th year celebrations wrap up, Dobbies are turning to the future, with every grotto ticket purchased helping to support the planting of up to 3,000 native trees in this beautiful region of Scotland.
Customers can also include four-legged family members in the Christmas fun with Dobbies’ Santa Paws, an event specifically designed for dogs, that is back and bigger than ever before, with increased capacity to meet demand at the Swindon store. At Santa Paws, dogs will get the chance to meet Santa and his elves, take part in a sniff-ari, capture a picture with Santa Claus, before receiving a special gift for being a good pup.
Dobbies’ Events Programme Manager, Ayesha Nickson is looking forward to welcoming families to the Meet Santa experience and the Santa Paws event this year at the Swindon store. She said: “Our Meet Santa event offers a magical way for children to share the joy of the season with Santa, and our much-loved Santa Paws event is a great way to include the family dog.
“Dobbies is a great place for the whole family to come together to enjoy some quality time during the busy festive period.”
Customers are encouraged to book in advance for Dobbies’ Christmas events to avoid disappointment. Santa will be arriving at Dobbies Garden Centres on Sunday 23 November and will be there to greet children until Christmas Eve across 8 stores, tickets start at £11 per child. The Santa Paws event runs from 29 November to 24 December with a variety of timings available, and tickets starting at £10.50 per dog.
Tickets for all events and experiences at the Swindon store are on sale now with an option to make a donation during your purchase to Dobbies’ National Charity Partner, Alzheimer’s Research UK or to the Dog’s Trust when booking tickets for Santa Paws.
