Science extravaganza, The Festival of Tomorrow, will be returning to multiple venues across Swindon early next year.
The festival blends the creative arts with research and innovation to explore the ideas that will shape our shared future. Working with partners from academia, industry, government, charities and the arts, the planned events will create opportunities for everyone to engage with knowledge, research, innovation and creativity - and how they can shape our choices in a changing world.
The scientific spectacular will feature cutting edge exhibitions, art installations, hands-on activities, as well as talks, shows and workshops with content that visitors of all ages and backgrounds find surprising, entertaining, inspiring and accessible.
A spokesperson for the event said: “Join us for unforgettable performances, intriguing exhibits and absorbing workshops as we explore Our Future Earth.
"Explore the depths of the ocean, uncover a hothouse of giant botanical robots, or experience the world through the senses of a spider.
“With more venues, events and activities than ever before, it’s shaping up to be an incredible journey of curiosity, creativity and innovation.”
The Festival of Tomorrow will be taking place across multiple venues around Swindon between 14-22 February 2025, including Steam - The Museum of the Great Western Railway, Swindon Designer Outlet, the Carriage Works, and The Deanery CE Academy, among others.
The festival are currently looking for volunteers who can spare a few hours to make the event possible.
