Heading to Westonbirt Arboretum on Tuesday 17 June, Forestry England Delamere on Friday 13 June, and Cannock Chase Forest on Thursday 26 June, Freya Ridings will kickstart proceedings as support to Northern Irish indie-rockers Snow Patrol.

North London-based Freya Ridings first caught widespread attention with her breakout track ‘Lost Without You’ in 2017. Her Gold-certified, BRIT-nominated debut album shot her to global success with over 1 billion streams worldwide, as she became the first female artist to fully write and perform a top ten hit since Kate Bush’s ‘Running Up That Hill’.

Hotly tipped by pop music icons including Taylor Swift and Florence Welch, Freya has previously impressed fans at Glastonbury, and the Coronation Concert and 2025 is set to be her biggest performance yet.

Set to be supported by Freya Ridings at three Foresty England woodlands this summer, Snow Patrol are best known for their hits ‘Chasing Cars’, ‘Run’, ‘Just Say Yes’ and ‘Open Your Eyes’.

A spokesperson for the band said: 'Over the course of their career, the band have earned a momentous seven Meteor Ireland Music Awards and an Ivor Novello and been nominated for six BRIT Awards and one GRAMMY. Last year, they released their aptly titled UK Number One album The Forest Is The Path to widespread acclaim.'

Merging stellar performances from world-class acts with beautiful outdoor locations to create an atmosphere like no other, Forest Live 2025 will take place at four forest venues: Forestry England Cannock Chase, Westonbirt Arboretum, Delamere, High Lodge, and Thetford.

Freya Ridings will be joining a selection of renowned global artists announced to perform at Forest Live 2025 including Nile Rodgers & CHICBlossomsThe ScriptStingSnow PatrolJamesMcFlyBustedPaul HeatonGary BarlowElbowRag’n’Bone ManBeverley KnightRazorlightBilly BraggThe CoralThe Brand New Heavies, Shed Seven and more.

Forestry England manage and care for the nation’s 1,500 woods and forests. They use the money Forest Live raises to maintain these natural areas for the public to enjoy, run conservation projects and keep growing trees.

Last year they said they planted some 7.4 million trees and welcomed 285 million visits in 2023/24. Everyone in England lives within a one-hour drive of one of the nation’s forests. Over two million people are said to have enjoyed the Forest Live gigs over the last 23 years.

This year sees Forestry England present the concert series in partnership with Live Nation’s Cuffe & Taylor for the second year running.
