Members of the Friends of Lydiard Park are invited to the organisation's Spring Meeting on Sunday 11 May.
The gathering, running from 2.30 to 4.30pm, will be held at Lydiard Park Hotel and Conference Centre.
This year is a special one in the calendar of the organisation, as it marks the 70th anniversary of the opening to the public of Lydiard House, often described as the jewel in Swindon's heritage crown.
At the meeting, members will see images from the period of the opening as well as hearing about current projects and enjoying afternoon tea. RSVPs are required, and should be sent to [email protected]
A spokesperson said in a message to members: "We are delighted that our membership remains over 200 strong and over 1000 people are registered users of The Lydiard Archives.
"As members, you have special benefits including free access to Lydiard House and Walled Garden. This year we are looking forward to the tulip and Spring flower displays we have funded.
"Thanks to your support, we are able to pursue a range of projects that help protect, conserve, and enhance Lydiard House & Park and St. Mary’s Church and bring its extraordinary history to life. Our monthly bulletins from both the Friends and The Lydiard Archives feature news and information about our activities.
"All members will receive an invitation to our Spring Meeting. And, this year, we’d like to encourage members to bring a guest to enjoy our special community and hear more about our programmes, events and activities.
"If you are not yet a member and would like to join the Friends, you are very welcome."
