FUSE Festival will be returning to the Shoebox Theatre this July with its biggest programme yet! The contemporary theatre festival will include performances from Palomar Theatre, Chaotic Neutral, The Delight Collective, Slackjaw Theatre Company, WhatNot and Eloina.

“We have been overwhelmed by the number and quality of applications we received for this year’s festival and are excited to be able to support and showcase the work of six theatre companies and artists at the start of their careers.” said Josh Foyster, Producer of FUSE Festival

Many of the successful applicants are recent graduates of Drama School and University, who are building their practice and exploring and experimenting with their work.

“Outside of Drama School and University, there are very few opportunities for young and emerging theatre makers to get support, whilst developing and performing their work. With FUSE, we provide a nurturing environment, with ample help and advice to get new work on its feet at no cost to the artists.”

The eclectic programme will showcase new work ranging from comedy, cabaret and drama, to immersive and experimental theatre.

“The festival will have something for everyone, and we hope people will also come and watch something that is out of their usual comfort zone. The audience will be given the opportunity to speak to the companies and artists after each performance and provide feedback on their work. We hope that the audience will feel as much as part of the festival as the theatre makers!”

The festival is running over the 5th, 6thand 7thof July at the Shoebox Theatre with tickets priced at £10 for two shows or £25 for a full festival pass. All proceeds will be used to develop the shows further and to fund future festivals. To find out more and book tickets visit www.fusefestival.co.uk
