South Swindon Parish Council has announced the culinary offerings and entertainment lineup for this year's Enchanted Gardens Light Trail at the Town Gardens.
The trail will be open nightly from 29 November to 24 December, and visitors are promised a magical evening of lights while savouring seasonal treats at the food and beverage area.
The latter will be situated around the historic Grade II listed bandstand, and local favourite Fandangos will be operating the bar, serving mulled wine, beers, and refreshments perfect for the festive season.
The much-loved Town Gardens Cafe will remain open throughout, offering special festive treats to warm winter evenings.
Food vendors include WhiteHorseBox Pizza, serving their popular artisanal pizzas, while Hills Attractions will be offering tasty bratwurst.
The Bandstand, sponsored by local creative agency Gel Studios, will host a programme of entertainment featuring Swindon's favourite musical talent, including:
- Traditional brass bands including Swindon Brass, Devizes Town Band, and The Cricklade Band
- Local school performances from Commonweal, The Croft, Holy Cross, Lawn Manor, and Lethbridge Primary Schools
- Dance showcases by Emily's Dance Academy and Bobbi's Academy of Dance
- Choral performances from Swindon Choral Society, Carers in Harmony, and the Aca-Bellas
Cllr John Firmin, Chair of the parish council's Events Working Party, said: “We’re pleased to be working with lots of fantastic local vendors and to showcase such an impressive range of Swindon's musical talent.
"The historic Bandstand provides the perfect backdrop for what promises to be a wonderful light trail in the Town Gardens.”
Tom Falding of Fandangos said: “We’re excited to be back in the beautiful Town Gardens again this winter and have a new improved drinks offering for all who avail themselves!”
