Health and Beauty

You have been looking forward to that big day where you will be able to finally wear the dress you have just bought. However, when that day came, you found yourself so shocked to see a huge swollen, red inflamed pimple. But, aren’t you equipped enough to handle such facial emergencies? Remember that you have to look your best so do not let your makeup spirits be broken by a huge pimple or a dark scar. Luckily, there are clever tricks that will help you cover, flatten or conceal that ugly blemish. Some of these are the following:

Use the right cream.

If a previous acne breakout or accident left an ugly scar on your face, know what cream to use. If you want to conceal it as if it never existed at all, you can use silicone scar cream that is formulated according to your skin type. The right cream would be something that not only contains vitamin E and antioxidants. It should also be silicone-based to give it better ability to hide those skin blemishes. When buying a scar cream, opt for the one that nourishes and stimulates the elimination of the redness and thickness of the scar.

Harness the power of ice.

The coldness of the ice will help induce the process of vasoconstriction which in turn can help improve the appearance of a huge pimple. To apply, wrap some ice cubes in a paper towel and then hold it up onto the affected area, then remove every after a few minutes to prevent frostbite. Do this several times until you notice the pimples becoming less inflamed.

Try color correction.

If your pimples are too red, a regular concealer may not be enough. Instead, try using a color correction that does a great job of neutralizing that look of redness in your swollen pimple. Preferably, a green color corrector that makes use of a cushion compact technology will certainly reduce the appearance of redness. To apply, pat gently a small pigment of your color corrector on the blemish. Once done, you may now apply your foundation. With a color corrector, you do not have to reach out for a concealer.

Opt for spot treatment.

Although a spot treatment may not seem the most clever way to hide a blemish, it's the ability to choose the best product for such a method that will totally make the entire process so clever. Don’t just opt for any other treatment products. It has to have benzoyl peroxide, sulfur and salicylic acid. These spot treatment products have the ability to penetrate deep into the skin pores to ensure those blackheads, whiteheads and other blemishes to be eliminated. If you're lucky enough to find the best spot treatment that also perfectly suits your type of skin, your blemishes will be gone overnight.

These clever ways should be enough to help you tame that scar or acne beast. Always remember that beautiful skin has to be healthy inside and out. Eat more foods that help improve skin health and always drink alcohol in moderation. You don't want another acne breakout the following day, right?
